Cory Ellenson
Glendora native Cory Ellenson gave us a small look at his life this week. After graduating from Glendora High he went on to USC to obtain a degree in accounting, and then to UCLA where he earned a law degree. Cory is currently employed by the US Treasury Department as part of the IRS in house council. He worked in his family printing business to help with school cost. Cory has worked in Washington DC for members of the senate, and also for Jerry Brown in the California government along with a short term of working for the accounting firm Ernst & Young. Almost a year ago Cory married his high school sweetheart Natalia, and they are looking to find a house in Glendora to purchase. Natalia works for the Walt Disney Corp. She works at the happiest place on earth, and He works at the saddest place! We look forward to having Cory as our club treasurer for many more years.

Our visitors this week were Key Club West Lt. Gov. Conner Watts, Natalia Ellenson, Barbara Latasa, and two members from the Covina, South Hills Kiwanis Club, Anita White and Joe Beezy.

We are gearing up for Flashback. The admission price this year will be $12.00, $10.00 for seniors, and $8.00 for kids. There will be $2.00 discount tickets available at various locations around town. In 5 weeks we will turn our downtown area into the best end of summer party ever!

Tony Miller got off cheap by purchasing the Exempt badge for only $35.00. He and his wife have birthdays this week.

Greg Wyatt donated 2 bottles of his home made Hot Sauce for auction. They went for  $20.00 each.

Dick Paulus put $37.00 in his pocket from the Ha Ha, and Dave Culp walked away with $5.00 from the opportunity drawing. The pot is now over $646.00.

Please keep Dan Derby, Greg Gillham, and Phil Huisman in your prayers as they face their health challenges.

Gene Murabito made the club a little cash as Mr. “K”. The 2 that missed his hand are city employees???

This newsletter as we all know it will be taking on a new look as soon as I can figure out how it all works. I will be publishing directly to our Glendora Kiwanis web site. Each week you will receive an e-mail prompting you to go to our web site to view the newsletter and other important information. Comments?
